Victorian Brass Mr. Punch Tobacconist Counter Cigar Lighter

A rare figural Mr. Punch cast brass tobacconist counter cigar lighter, circa late 19th century. Cast in solid brass the design details Mr. Punch figure smoking a cigar while holding a quill and cup. When fixed to the countertop of a fine tobacco merchant and fitted with a fuel line, a flame would emit from the tip of the brass cigar functioning as a perpetual lighter. A wonderful tobacciana collectible and decorative piece.
